I took a photo of the leeches too, but they fail to convey the true horror. But yes, dear reader, there were leeches. And mosquitoes. Also, to add to the ambience, a gunshot at two in the morning. Which meant I lay awake for two hours imagining headlines 'Honeymoon Couple killed by random shooters.' It was a memorable honeymoon, sort of like that old Chinese curse, may you live in interesting times...
