Thanks to everyone who came and made it such a special night. I felt really spoiled! The Cupcake Queen outdid herself with a mountain of cupcakes - and a very funny speech - I will never say again that I lack friends CQ! The manboy also made an idiosyncratic and moving speech.
As an added bonus to the celebrations some great ideas were floated - the idea of a street book club - whoo hoo! And the idea of a poetry circle, which Earl suggested having just read Molly Peacock's wonderful book, How to Read a Poem and start a Poetry Circle.
As I feel I'm entering a social phase, I'm going to get on to these ideas and not let them rust in the backyard!

Happy Birthday, Catherine! When you said you had a big birthday party on the weekend, I didn't realise you meant 'your' birthday party. It sounds like it was a party to remember.
