New poem

memorised is Margaret Atwood's 'Habitation'. It's a poem about marriage that I wanted read at my second wedding but it's tempered optimism was something I felt a casual guest might not really get. They might seem the tempered, more than the optimism and think it a strange choice. I've loved it since I first read it - the movement from the big metaphors to the particular, the layout of the poem that seems to shift almost as the poet thinks and the sense of optimistic honesty in the poem. Fabulous.
