Two Eastern Whipbirds sighted

today at Belgrave Lake Park. Could quite clearly see their little top-knotted heads.

Fluid boomerang of sound -
top-knotted whipbirds
dance up the tree trunk.

Reading - Gertrude Stein's The Autobiography of Alice B Toklas.

Catherine – I read The Autobiography of Alice B Toklas about three years ago when someone I know illegally lent me a very old archived copy from the SLV. Shooosh. Don’t tell. It was very interesting to read about the society of the time. I did feel that it was more the autobiography of Gertrude Steine by Gertrude Steine.
AND talking about birds, would you believe I had a brown goshawk come and visit my Mitcham garden a couple of weeks ago. Remind me to tell you a story about it one day.
When is the Word Tree starting up?
